Premier League top 6 set for ICC showdown during pre-season

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, and Tottenham will be involved in this summer’s International Champions Cup across three continents.

Last season’s Premier League top six sides will trade tackles with some of Europe’s best teams. The likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and PSG, will be involved in 27 games across 24 days in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Premier League Champions Man City may likely give new signing Riyad Mahrez his debut when they face Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the early hours of July 21 in Chicago, before meeting Liverpool in New Jersey in a replay of the Champions League quarter-final, and Bayern Munich in Miami a few days later.

Fellow City rivals Man Utd will rekindle their rivalry against AC Milan in Pasadena, followed by a big showdown against bitter rivals Liverpool in Ann Arbor before squaring up against European Champions Real Madrid in Miami, while Liverpool will also play Jurgen Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham Hotspurs will play Roma, Barcelona and AC Milan, while London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea also have three games each.
New bosses Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery will get a taste of the London derby when they play each other in Stockholm on August 4, after Arsenal face Atletico Madrid and PSG, and Chelsea play Sevilla and Inter Milan.

Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to miss out in one of the remaining standout fixtures, when former side Real play Juventus in Washington DC on August 4 in a replay of their controversial Champions League quarter-final, with Sevilla, Benfica, and Roma also involved.

Seventeen of the 27 games will be played in North America, while seven are in Europe and three are in Singapore.
