Victor Lindelof, the Manchester United defender, is going to miss the Champions League’s encounter with Young Boys in the coming week due to an injury. The 24-year-old defender has successfully improved the last seven matches of the club in all competition. However, he has been struggling towards the end of the match with Crystal Palace that ended with 0-0 score-line.
Jose Mourinho has confirmed the injury of Lindelof that was to be scanned today. Unfortunately, the injury is going to keep him out of the game for some time. Matteo Darmian has made his first appearance following the opening day against team Eagles. Nevertheless, he missed out on the training session on Monday along with Marcos Rojo, the fellow defender. Luke Shaw is going to be available after the domestic ban of one match.
Mourinho has asked the underachieving players of Manchester United to stay at home if they are unable to handle the pressure to put in their best at Old Trafford. Progress is going to be a welcome shot in the arm following the unenthusiastic goalless draw with a sweating Crystal Palace. This has left them 14 points behind Manchester City, the Premier League winner and a three-win from nine home matches in every competition.
Nonetheless, Mourinho has knocked backed suggestions that his players find it convenient playing away and have laughed off at the suggestion that playing at Old Trafford is bringing added pressure on them of competing against the Swiss champions. He says that he never felt pressure to play at home.
