At the age of 38, Peter Crouch, the ex-England striker has just uncovered his readiness to retire from professional football.
Released at the end of the football season by Burnley, by that time the player had boasted numerous appearances for Stoke, Southampton, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Portsmouth.
Peter told that if someone told him at the age of 17 that he would play in the Champions League final and come up with a hundred goals in the Premier League, he would have laughed at that guy. Nevertheless, he did it and in general, the player confessed that it was football that made all of his dreams come true.
He added that despite he had up to 23 to properly prepare for this crucial moment now he realizes that preparing for such moments is an absolutely impossible thing. Now he has to get used to the sensation of being an “ex-football player” and to live with this.
After all his objective was to play football until 40 and it’s time to retire, but this feeling hasn’t hit him yet, but he’s assured it will be soon.
