Gary Neville is not being able to understand why Maurizio Sarri has been facing problems when it comes to motivating the players of Chelsea. Often, Sarri has talked about the motivation and the mentality of the squad when they have problems to achieve results against the lesser sides.
This is the first season with the club and historically it is supposed to be the most successful one for the managers in the era of Roman Abramovich. However, the Italian is facing several problems, particularly in recent months.
Neville has stated that it is mystifying with Sarri and following his comments with the struggle to motivate the players, he felt that this isn’t going pretty well. He had stated a few days ago that he felt that it is just the starting of the year after what they had seen at Chelsea, the victory over Huddersfield didn’t change his mind.
He also said that Chelsea has proven for years now that they dismiss managers when they have enough of hearing them. You can think of what actually happened with Antonio Conte and the issue with Diego Costa just when they won the league in the summer and had played so good. A similar thing happened with Jose Mourinho and Andre Vilas-Boas.
According to him, Chelsea is not going to change Sarri during this season. However, there are some warning signs which make people think that it is highly unlikely that it will continue beyond summer.
