Neil Warnock has criticized the rules of Premier League on the loan signings and has labeled them as scandalous. The top-flight sides aren’t allowed to register over two players from the clubs of Premier League at a particular point of time.
The veteran manager of Cardiff City is looking to boost his squad in the transfer window of January. However, he has questioned the logic of the present system. He states that it is a ridiculous rule. He agrees to the fact that they cannot have over one from the club. What he doesn’t understand is what is there to stop having 3 loan players in the team and providing them with the opportunity to take part in the Premier League. He says that clubs like them which do not have a large sum of money; it is an opportunity to provide them.
Cardiff has Harry Arter in their team on a loan from club Bournemouth of Premier League and also Victor Camarasa from La Liga’s Real Betis. The presence of Arter means that the team will only be able to sign one more player from the Premier League.
Warnock says that now he cannot have a young English midfielder or a young English striker. Definitely, they are better off in the squad than in the under-23 where they are able to learn nothing. After the defeat of Cardiff to Manchester United by 5-1, Warnock had conceded that he has to add more players to the squad for helping with the relegation battle since they slipped to 17th position.
