Current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has signed a new extension up to 2020 with an option to further years.
54-year-old previously had a contract until 2019. After the signing, Jose told that he is delighted that “Man United trust him to do the job and feel that he is right manager for the foreseeable future”.
Mourinho has won EFL Cup and Europa League in the first season after signing for Reds. Last season he led United to the sixth place in the Premier League. Now they occupy the second position in the table fall behind their rivals Man City.
“I’m really honored to be in Manchester United. I would like to thank the owners and to Mr. Woodward for recognition of my hard work and dedication to the club. We’ve set high standards after winning three trophies in the season.
And I’m expecting my team will aim for these standards. Now we are creating all conditions for brilliant and successful future for Manchester United. Once again, I’m delighted to be a manager in that club and I’m really happy”, told Jose Mourinho while interviewing.
