Jose Mourinho now is answering the questions in a Madrid court. The Spanish authorities claim that 54-years-old was evading tax duties when he was Real Madrid boss.
According to charges, Mourinho did not declare an income from his image rights in 2011. And today he owes to Spain about £2.9m.
Red Devils coach was seen entering to the courthouse of Pozuelo de Alarcon. The court hearing comes two days before the Manchester United v Chelsea clash in the Premier League. Players also told that they training schedule was changed too.
Earlier Mourinho paid Spain more than €26m as tax charges while living in the country during 2010-13. The official statement said Jose Mourinho had accepted regularization proposals and complied with all his tax obligations.
Must admit, the tax charges isn’t unusual in the football world. Lionel Messi was fined for €2.1m and 21 months of prison, Javier Mascherano and Angel Di Maria also were charged. And Cristiano Ronaldo case is still continuing.
