The agent’s statement comes in the wake of persistent talk about the Ivory Coast midfielder’s move out of AC Milan.
Wolverhampton Wanderers is one of the clubs said to be interested in buying Kessie when the time for transfer comes next January. A few Chinese Super League clubs have also shown their interest. Another team interested in Kessie is said to be the top French club, Paris Saint-Germain. The reported tiff between manager Gennaro Gattuso and new sporting director Leonardo centered on Kessie fueled the rumors even further.
Kessie’s agent is surprised by these speculations. He says: ‘We are just on the ninth day of the league and I do not understand why we should already talk about the market. Franck is in his second year at Milan, where he did not come by chance and he is progressively completing his maturation process.” He thinks such future transfer is practically impossible and 21-year old Kessie, who joined the club last year, is happy and keen to stay on at AC Milan and perform well. His current contract with Milan runs till June 2022.
He also believes that the Club itself has no intention to sell Kessie, an impression that was strengthened after his recent discussion with the officials.
Kessie has already established himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in Italian League by his steady performance in the past few months.
