The international return of Lionel Messi next year is the latest buzz and the general manager of Argentina believes that his comeback is foreseen. The Barcelona champion has not been playing for the national team from the time Argentina was out of World Cup on 30th June.
Lionel Scaloni, the caretaker manager began his rebuilding work. However, he is yet to name Messi in his 3 squads from the beginning of the latest season. Messi was once again not present at the camp following the international friendlies which was held back-to-back this week against Mexico.
Jorge Burruchaga, the general manager has expectations from Messi that he would build a crucial part of Argentina’s mission to achieve Copa America in next summer in Brazil. The general manager said that the date has not been scheduled as on date for the comeback of Messi. Also, he confirmed that he would not return until the year-end. However, it’s quite evident that he would be a part of the national team again. Burruchaga is quite sure that Messi will be a part of the Argentine team once again next year.
Messi has already performed brilliantly for his country and also earned 128 caps since he made his first appearance in 2005 when he was 18 years old. Messi was the all-time record goal-scorer for Argentina in 2016. However, even after scoring 65 goals, this Barcelona legend only acquires an Olympic gold medal as on date that proves his worth.
