Martin Odegaard Sets Up Two Goals in Castilla Team, Included in Madrid’s UCL Squad

Real Madrid new wonder kid Martin Odegaard played his first game against Beijing Guoan team in a friendly match. The 16 year Real Madrid Castilla player pulled on a Blancos shirt for the first time in Wednesday’s friendly match under management of Zinedine Zidane. One of the most sought after youngsters in the world was snapped up by Real Madrid just two weeks ago. In his debut with Real Madrid Castilla team, the Norwegian player showed some decent skills and set up two goals.

The 16 year old Los Blancos can play a big hand to help the Castilla team win the promotion into Spain’s second tier from the third division. Fernando Hierro was also present during the debut of Martin Odegaard. The talented youngster impressed first team coach as he set up two goals.

Odegaard played first 60 minutes against Beijing Guoan and left the pitch after impressing the club members. He can now play big game against Athletic Bilbao B on this Sunday at Real’s Valdebebas training ground.

Real Madrid signed Odegaard from Stromsgodset in the month of January this year defeating other bidders Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Barcelona, Manchester City and other Europe’s top football clubs.

Martin Odegaard is already featured in first team squad of Real Madrid for UEFA Champions League. There are high possibilities that he could become the competition’s youngest ever player.

Meanwhile, UEFA listed Odegaard’s name in Real Madrid UCL squad on its official website which means the player has now joined senior team. This opens up the possibility that he could become the youngest player ever in UEFA Champions League. He is expected to appear in Real Madrid’s next UCL match which will be played against Schalke 04 in first leg of round of 16.
