Manchester United new boss Jose Mourinho is looking for his second player under his reign as he chases Juventus forward Alvaro Morata.

The 23 Year old Spaniard has been one of the hottest prospects since last season and has attracted interest from Elite clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City. Morata has scored 23 goals in 93 appearances for the Italian giants and one of the prospective endings might involves Real Madrid using a buy-back clause in his contract of £23.7 million.

Mourinho who managed the Spain International during his time at Real Madrid is ready to pay upwards of £50 million.

The United boss has already signed a defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal on Wednesday and it is understood that he will be closing in on a deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alvaro Morata within this week.

Speaking after his first signing Mourinho added “Eric is a young central defender with a natural talent and has a lot of potential to move forward in future. It will be my responsibility to make him a world class defender and after seeing last season how he progressed, I can say that he has the potential to be one of the best around”.
