Manchester United are interested in signing unsettled Brazilian winger Willian Borges from rivals Chelsea.
Reports from Sky Sports claims that Willian wants to leave the London side this summer if manager Antonio Conte remains at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian winger who joined Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 under current United’s boss Mourinho seems to be unsettled with life at the Bridge as he has seen his play time reduced, thereby settling for a peripheral role.
The 29-year-old seems to be having a strained relationship with his boss, Conte. After the F.A Cup triumph against United where he played a cameo role, Willian posted the image of the team’s on-pitch celebration on his Instagram page but caused a stir as he blocked the manager’s face with a trophy emoji.
Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the pacey winger who has scored 13 goals in 55 appearances for the Blues. United are ready to do business, but there’s no formal offer to Chelsea at this stage. The player has two years left on his contract. However, he may be switching lanes if the Italian manager is at the club next season.
