Manchester United have stepped up their chase to sign Alex Sandro, according to recent reports.
United’s boss Jose Mourinho wants to strengthen his squad in a bid to mount a title challenge next term and equally bridge the gap to Champions Man City.
The Left back position is one area United are willing to strengthen considering that Luke Shaw has fallen out of favour with the Portuguese manager leaving Ashley Young as the only consistent option.
And reports from the British press claims that the United boss is targeting Sandro — with Juventus looking for a fee of more than £50million.
They believe that the Italian champions would ask for the same amount Man City paid Monaco for the services of Benjamin Mendy.
Mourinho will also look to revamp other areas of his squad, with the Red Devils ending the season 19 points behind noisy neighbours City. With the future of Martial at the club looking bleak, the Red Devils are aiming to bring in a winger, right-back, central defender and a central midfielder should Marouane Fellaini fail to stay
Sandro joined Juventus from Porto three years ago for £22.9m and has established himself as one of the best left sided players in the world. The Brazilian is very versatile and can play anywhere along that flank.
