Manchester City Vs Liverpool Live Online Commentary

Pep Guardiola’s side unbeaten run came to an end in midweek when they were knocked out of UEFA Champions League with the hands of AS Monaco. Prior to that, Manchester City had won eight and drawn three of their last 11 games in all tournaments, but now they face a tough hosting of Liverpool just a few days after their gruelling trip to Monaco. The defensive line is where they were weak in midweek, and in all honesty throughout the entire campaign. They have conceded in ten of their 13 home matches in the Premier League this season, although they have scored in all but one of them as well.

On the flip side, Liverpool’s defence is a concern too. Their narrow 2-1 victory over Burnley last weekend did make it three wins from their last four matches in the Premier League, but they have conceded in eight of their last nine league fixtures and have lost three of them. They are now 4th in the Premier League standings with both Arsenal and Manchester United below them having two games in hand. Jurgen Klopp’s side is winless in four league games on the road, but they do have a decent record against the top sides. Liverpool have beaten Arsenal twice, Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Everton this season and haven’t lost a single league outing against a team from the top half of the table.
