Man United target Yerry Mina

Manchester United are considering launching a bid for Yerry Mina as an alternative to Leicester City’s Harry Maguire who are demanding £65m for the defender.

Jose Mourinho may switch his attention to Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, who performed well for Colombia at the World Cup.

Premier League rivals Everton and Wolves have been strongly linked with the 23-year-old who has struggled to settle at the Nou Camp since joining in January.

Mina played only six times for the Catalans but showcased his talent during the World Cup as Colombia progressed past the group stages.

He scored in a 3-0 win over Poland before a last-gasp equalizer in the penalty shootout defeat by England earlier this month.

United have approached England defender Maguire, but Leicester is not interested in a deal and have no desire to let Maguire follow Riyad Mahrez out of the club this summer.

Mourinho has voiced his concern about the lack of transfer activities, the Portuguese manager is in search of new faces to bolster his squad, and with time running out, a move for Mina may not be ruled out.
