Manchester United have sealed a place in the final of the F.A Cup after beating Tottenham Hotspurs 2-1 in a keenly contested game at the Wembley Stadium.
Spurs opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game when Dele Alli converted from close range after a free-flowing move from Pochettino’s men. However, United responded a few minutes later thanks to a beautiful assist from Pogba whose cross found Alexis Sanchez that powered in a header from close range to level the scoreline.
Tottenham dominated most of the game in the second half as they went in search for the winner, but it was United who found the back of the net in the 62nd minute when Ander Herrera pounced on a loose ball and powered it home beyond Michel Vorm.
United were dogged and resilient at the back for the remainder of the game despite the attacking threats from Spurs. That defeat ended the Londoners hope for a Silverware for the second successive season running at the same stage of the competition. The Red Devils rediscovered their early season form to stage a comeback and seal a place in the finals of the F.A Cup.
Chelsea and Southampton will be hoping to join United in the finals when they cross swords tomorrow in Wembley stadium in the 2nd tie of the semi-finals.
