Man City ready to spend £53m on Tottenham’s defender Kyle Walker

Very soon Kyle Walker can become most expensive defender in the world. Tottenham have accepted the £53m bid which should be a record transfer fee. This is bigger than cost David Luiz (£50m) when he came from Chelsea to PSG in 2014.

Pep Guardiola has made a priority of signing of full-backs and making England international the #1 target. So Walker’s move was predictable. Also, Man City are trying to get left-back Benjamin Mendy, who was left out of Monaco.

Pep wanted Walker and Mendy available by their flying to the USA on Monday. And in total, they’re ready to spend more than £100m for defenders. Besides, Man City coach didn’t lose his interest in Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand. That could raise their spendings up to £130m if they make a deal.

“Tottenham till I die”

Last season Walker discussed his move to Manchester City while flying to Barcelona. But he simply replied,“Tottenham till I die” and today the video turned viral. Interesting how things can change with the time.
