Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is enjoying his first season after some criticism with Lionel Messi. The Barca boss stated that the stats of Barca’s all time top goal scorer are from another Galaxy. After another huge win against Levante, the Catalans are dominating football with back to back huge victories.
Luis Enrique: Stats of Lionel Messi are from another planet
According to Football-espana.net, Enrique said “Leo’s numbers are from another galaxy, in terms of goals, assists, personal trophies and collective trophies.”
“He is evolved towards better prepared physical, mental and technical players. In my day we were slower and had more space. Now it’s very complicated to find space. Every day the player is more prepared, faces more difficulty and the numbers receive more notoriety. Leo playing a lot is key for us. When there are players crowding the middle it’s difficult, but we knew he’d solve all our problems.”
Lionel Messi equalized most hat-trick record of Cristiano Ronaldo. He scored his 23rd La Liga hat-trick in his 300th appearance of Liga BBVA. The manager also spoke about Guardiola’s record. He was speaking after his side beat Levante 5–0 at the home ground in last game of Liga BBVA. He said
“Guardiola’s record? I didn’t know I had equalled the 11 wins, records do not interest me. The Idea is to enjoy ourselves. We will only value it when the season ends.”
“If we win titles then that’d be very good. We have played a great second half. I’m happy. It’s a victory that strengthens us all. This is a team that is accustomed to distractions from outside. It is important to focus and improve.”
Barcelona continued their winning run with eleventh run and will be looking to extend it further when they will face Manchester City. The Catalans will play round of 16 game against current champions of Premier League on 18th March at home ground Camp Nou.
