Khalil forced home the spot kick when Mohamed Marhoon was concluded to have handled football in the penalty space. This immediately canceled the 78th minute Mohamed Al Romaihi for his team Bahrain in the meeting of Group A. This goal that came, later on, has relieved the host of the shame or be defeated by a side that is 34 places underneath them when it comes to the FIFA ranking. However, it has helped in easing the pressure on Alberto Zaccheroni, the coach to some extent. He has been criticized all throughout his charge of UAE. Zaccheroni has stated that the performance of the players in the first half of the game had been pretty aggressive and he thanks them for fighting their battle. However, he says that he has also asked them to improve their performance from the next game. He says that they are going to correct the mistakes that they have made and will improve their game with every match. The Italian had won the Asian title in the year 2011 while he had taken the responsibility of Japan, fielded the team which didn’t have composure or cohesion near the goal and the Ali Mabkhout, the striker missed out on numerous changes for putting his side in the front line.
