Birth and family: Kevin De Bruyne was born on 28th June 1991 in Drongen, Belgium. It is a sub municipality of the city of Ghent located in Flanders. His mother name is Anna De Bruyne who is English.
He began his footballing career in 2003 at KVV Drongen. After two years [2005], he moved to Gent. He played for Genk from 2005 to 2008 where he made 97 appearances and scored 16 goals total.
Transfer To Chelsea From Genk: On last day of winter transfer [31 Jan 2012], Genk and Chelsea football club announced that Kevin De Bruyne has signed for the Premier League club. He joined Chelsea at transfer fee of 7 million pound for five and a half years. He played first official game for his new club on 18th July 2012.
He played one year [from 2012 to 2013] at German football club Werder Bremen on loan. De Bruyne scored 10 goals in 33 appearances for this club and returned to Chelsea on 1st July 2013.
