Former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Ricardo Izecson Kaka who won World Cup in 2002 announced his retirement.
Kaka began to play at Sao Paulo and made excellent career since then. Being in Brazil national squad, he won World Cup in 2002. He is one of eight men in the world who’ve won the treble World Cup, European Cup/Champions League, and Ballon d’Or.
On Sunday he posted on Twitter that he is ready for next journey: “Father, it was much more than I could even imagine. Thank you and now I’m ready for the next journey. In Jesus name. Amen”.
He also added that he might continue taking part in the football world: “I will continue in football but in a different role. I won’t be a professional player, an athlete. I’d rather take part as a manager or sporting director”.
After playing AC Milan Kaka almost joined to Manchester United. But in the end, he arrived at Real Madrid for 67m euros almost at the same time with Ronaldo. Then he returned to Milan in 2013 and after settled in Orlando City until nowadays.
Orlando’ coach Alex Leitao offered Kaka a contract until 2018. Also, the board told he would be welcomed in the club in the different role. Kaka has scored 29 times in 92 matches for Brazil. He is renowned for strong mazy dribbles and creativity on the pitch, which helps to provide opportunities to score.
It was much more than I could ever imagined. Thank you! I’m now ready for the next journey. In Jesus name. Amem.
