Alisson, the Liverpool goalkeeper has to miss a couple of weeks due to the calf trauma he gained in the season-opening successful game versus Norwich City. That’s what Jurgen Klopp, the club’s manager informed.
The squad had to replace the 26-year-old goalkeeper on the 39th minute of the 4–1 winning match. Adrian, signed this summer replaced the injured Brazilian international.
Jurgen Klopp told that the player’s calf issue isn’t a good news for the club as it deprives the squad of him for some time.
Meanwhile, Liverpool consider Andy Lonergan to be a proper temporary replacement for the injured goalkeeper.
The injured goalkeeper turned out to be a major asset for the club in his debut football season having come to them from Roma. As a matter of fact, Alisson assisted the Reds to become the winner of the Champions League and grab the second place in the Premier League.
As for Andy Lonergan, the player has just abandoned Middlesbrough this summer and become available on a free transfer.
