Huddersfield scored twice before the half. Despite the Terriers dominated all the time Marcus Rashford made a late consolidation goal. The first loss leaves Reads behind current leaders Man City for five points.

It was the first match between teams since the 1971-72 season. And the winners rushed through the game like a hurricane. In a post-match interview, MU coach said: “I don’t even remember when our attitude was so poor in a friendly match. They played with more passion than we did. We could have scored the second goal, but it would be undeserved. It is real shame that opponents are winning not because of quality or performance, but because of our lack of attitude”.

After the match, Herera had a word too: “We lost almost every ball. This cannot happen in Premier League. Huddersfield were more passionate than we, more aggressive… We should have played a match with that attitude, but we couldn’t. It cannot happen again”.

Manchester United will clash Swansea on Tuesday in the EFL Cup. After they’re facing Tottenham in the Premier League on 28 October. Don’t miss!
