Jaakola, The FC Goalkeeper Relaxed With Contract Situation

Anssi Jaakkola, the goalkeeper has admitted that he is feeling relaxed with the contract situation of the club. He had been given an extension for a year last summer after having been a part of Royal in 2016 signed by Jaap Stam. Hs is the number one choice at present when it comes to the club. He has lesser than six months for running the deal at the Madejski Stadium. The contract is going to end in the month of June.

However, he says that he is not concerned with the long-term future. He plans to focus on his seizing the opportunity to play as the first goalkeeper of Reading. He states that he had started pre-season in the number two position. However, for this, he had to fight with Vito. After this, he got injured and had come back only a few days before the closing of the transfer window. Thus, he didn’t have time to think about going somewhere after this. He just had to ensure that he kept working hard and prepare himself so that he could jump at the first chance that he got. According to him, he plans on focusing on the game and will try not to consider the contract right now. There will be enough time later on. Ali Al-Habsi, the second fiddle player to Jaakkola will play the first season in the club and last year at Vito Mannone. He was able to enjoy the most consistent run in this season.
