Finally, the Hero Indian Super League got its maiden champions. Atletico de Kolkata are first champions of the league who defeated Kerala Blasters 1–0 in the final at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai. At the conclusion of the inaugural Hero Indian Super League football event, all the awards were awarded to the best talented players of ISL 2014. The champions Kolkata picked up amount of Rs. 8 crores while the Kerala Blasters picked up Rs 4 crore. The semifinalists were given a prize money of Rs. one and a half crores each. Chennaiyin FC’s Brazilian player Elano Blummer won the Golden Boot award at the Indian Super League as he scored 8 goals for Chennaiyin who had bowed out in the semi-final after losing to Kerala Blasters. FC Goa’s Jan Seda won the Golden Glove award while Kerala captain Iain Hume took the Hero of the league award.

Kerala Blasters Sandesh Jhingan was awareded with Emerging Player of the League as he impressed most from other players. It is only award that was bagged by Indian players. Kerala Blasters failed to get the title but their fans had something to cheer after awarded the Happy Fans Award. In this edition, the average attendance of Kerala fans were 49,111 which was more than any team, that’s why they were awarded the Happy Fans Award. Delhi Dynamos couldn’t make the final but they had something to cheer about after they were named winners of the first ISL Fair Play Award. They topped Fair Play standing with 77.6 points ahead of Mumbai City.
