Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the manager of Manchester United has now turned to the under twenty-three following a spate of injuries has left him short of choices for the trip to Crystal Palace for the Premier League on Wednesday.
The team has lost Nemanja Matic prior to the goalless draw against Liverpool on Sunday. The injury problem of Manchester United has worsened with Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, and Jesse Lingard being knocked up in the first half and Marcus Rashford suffered an ankle injury in the second.
Mason Greenwood, Matteo Darmina, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones, and Antonio Valencia are also appearing doubtful when it comes to making a trip to London. Solskjaer has stated they haven’t really had a session and thus, he believes that there are not many positives. Solskjaer has guided the team to 8 wins since he took over in the month of December.
Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong, the midfielders, along with Jimmy Garner, the defender has been called upon by Solskjaer and he has backed the idea of these 3 teenagers stepping up in the next game. He has said that they have been a part of his training program for a long period of time and Angel has been associated with England Under-17 team with Phil Foden, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Jadon Sancho. The manager has accepted that his decision to rush Lingard back into the team for the match of Liverpool had been hasty and he is not going to make the same mistake again.
