After the announcement of start date of 2014 Indian Super League, the list of foreign players is revealed. Draft of international players for this competition was held on 21 August 2014. Total of 49 foreign players were drafted to all eight teams of Hero ISL. Indians fans will now see the top players of Premier League, La Liga and from other leading competitions in ISL. List of Foreign Players in Indian Super League
The official partner of ISL IMG Reliance released a list of 49 foreign players for the draft which was held in Mumbai. Players with an average age of 28 years were included in the draft. These players are selected from 15 countries which includes Spain, France, Czech Republic, Cameroon, Greece, England, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Serbia, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, South Korea.

Transfer Amount of Foreign Players
During the draft, the price of players transfer was also disclosed. Average transfer amount per international player is $60,490 which is approximate Rs. 37 Lakh. The average amount of an Indian footballer of national team is about Rs.24 Lakh. This is why this league is one of the most expensive football competition in India. Rocky Michael Chopra, why played for Newcastle United, Cardiff City, Sunderland is the most notable player. He is signed with a transfer fee of $58,185 [Rs. 35 Lakh approx]. Twelve players, including Greek centre-back llias Pollalis, who plays for third tier Greek club Glyfada FC, Brazilian midfielder Guillherme Felipe, de Castro and Edurado Silva of Spain, feature in the lowest wage bracket of $38,790.
