I’ll Stay At Real Madrid Until 2018. Then We’ll See, Says Ronaldo

Real Madrid and Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo speaks up about his future. The 31 year old footballer stated that he will stay at his current club Real Madrid until his contract ends and thereafter he will decided where to go. Just few days ago, the all time highest goal scorer of Real Madrid celebrated his 31st birthday. After his statement, he admitted that he could leave the Spanish club after the expiration of his contract which is currently tied with Real Madrid.

When Ronaldo was asked about his future, he stated that “I have been in Spain six years. I was also at Manchester United for six years and that was a great experience, a great championship, but for me this is the best league in the world. It’s a privilege to be here.”

“I want to be here for a couple more years and then we’ll see. That’s the duration of my contract and I want to give my all in that time.”

During the FIFA Ballon D’or 2015 award ceremony, he was named as second best footballer of the year. He said “I dedicate this award to the team, to the coaches, the staff and everyone at Madrid. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to score so many goals last season.”

“Let’s hope the fans keep supporting as they have been. They are spectacular. We will give everything on the pitch to try to win trophies and the Champions League once again.”

Real Madrid recently won against Granada with goal from Karim Benzema and Luka Modric. Los Blancos will now play against Athletic Bilbao at their home ground on 13th of Feb 2016.
