Former Brazilian Ronaldo could make a come back in football as the player was unveiled a new member of Strikers’s ownership group. Four years ago, Ronaldo said goodbye to football with his last club Corinthians. Since 2011, Ronaldo didn’t played football, but his fans will love to seem him on the pitch. He said he will try to come back into shape with an eye on coming out of retirement to play for North American second division club Fort Lauderdale strikers.
Brazilian Ronaldo Could Come Back to Football
The thirty eight year old was asked about whether he was planning a comeback. He said “That is not easy because I love to play, I love soccer, that was all my life my big love. When I retired, I stopped playing because of my body, so much pain and injuries.”
“To play a soccer game you have to be in very good shape. I will try of myself, it’s another challenge, I an sure it will help the league, help the team.” He added, “I will train a lot, and if the coach needs me, maybe.” Ronaldo had a smile on his face that represents he wants to make a come back at some extent.
Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima played for European and American clubs which includes Cruzeiro, PSV, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, A.C. Milan and Corinthians. In his entire football career, he played 343 games and scored 247 goals.
With his national team, he played 98 international matches, netted 62 times, won two World Cup titles [1994 and 2002]. He was awarded with FIFA World Player of the year three times [1996, 1997 and 2002].
