Everton agree €32m fee to snap up Yerry Mina

Everton have reportedly agreed on a €32m (£28.5m) deal to sign Yerry Mina. According to TalkSport

The Barcelona defender has been strongly linked with the Red Devils throughout this transfer window. However, it was reported on Sunday morning that their deal had hit a snag.

Now, reports from English tabloids claim, The Toffees have pounced and snatched the Barcelona defender for themselves.

Mina, 23, is set to sign a five-year deal at Goodison Park after concluding swift negotiations with the Blaugrana.

The Merseysiders are understood to have been keen on Mina since his stellar displays for Colombia at the World Cup.

With Ashley Williams completing a move to Championship side Stoke City, there was a need for the Evertonians to recruit a new center-back.

United were leading the race to sign the South-American player, but negotiations have stalled making it possible for Marco Silva to land one of his primary transfer targets.

The Red Devils are set to switch their attention to the capture of Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, and there is pressure to wrap up the deal before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
