Cristiano Ronaldo got a new bust

Earlier in the March Ronaldo was honored with a bronze bust in Madeira Airport. But the statue by Emanuel Santos looked nothing like Real Madrid superstar and everyone laughed about it in social. On Saturday it has been revealed Real Madrid gave Ronaldo a new bust, which is much better than the old one.

The bust will be standing in a Real Madrid museum. The project was finished on 2 November, but Ronaldo couldn’t attend the unveiling ceremony since he was in London at the Real Madrid v Tottenham match.

The piece of art weighs about 90kg and costs 50,000 euros. It is obviously better than previous, however social media users criticized unnatural length of the neck. Someone even called it a hybrid between snake and giraffe.

Spanish outlet El Mundo reports, the bust was made by sculptor Navarro Arteago. He decided to make a new better bronze sculpture after his son was very disappointed by the one presented in Madeira. Now the new bust stands in the Real Madrid trophy room.

Besides, for the squad, it was a good weekend in La Liga after 3-2 match vs Malaga. Los Blancos picked more points to catch up current leaders Barcelona. However, it wasn’t an easy win. Cristiano Ronaldo scored late at 76’ right after unsuccessful penalty. The moment was difficult, however 32-year-old striker didn’t hesitate and netted the ball above Roberto Jimenez. Another significant win for Champions League holders.
