Cristiano Ronaldo representatives are denying all accusations that were made in the report of German magazine Der Spiegel. A journalist in the paper claims that Real Madrid star paid to a woman huge sum to cover up an allegation of rape.
But sports company Gestifute have dismissed the story and called it just a piece of journalistic fiction. The paper was strongly criticized and in the statement, it noted as “a disgusting and outraging allegation”. They also said that Ronaldo and representatives would do everything to bring to responsibility all persons who made that claims.
In the paper said that Ronaldo has paid about $375,000 to the woman in an out-of-court settlement. The occasion occurred right after Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United. Still, alleged victim refuses to come forward and confirm the accusation. Moreover, all presented documental evidence are unsigned. Also, no parties of the process could be verified and Cristiano Ronaldo not mentioned in an email addressing between lawyers.
According to Der Spiegel paper, “Ronaldo lawyer agreed to pay $375,000 settlement in January 2010. In return, the woman keeps silence regarding events which took place on June 12, 2009, in a Las Vegas luxury hotel”.
