Declan Rice, Chelsea, West Ham

Chelsea Could Collect £67 Million To Fund Move For Declan Rice

Chelsea failed to sign Declan Rice several months ago, as they were unable to meet West Ham’s £80 million asking price for the midfielder. However, everything can change in winter, as the Blues are ready to offload five footballers to fund a transfer for the Englishman. According to reports, the Pensioners spent about £250 million during the summer window with Frank Lampard building a stronger squad at Stamford Bridge. Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell Kai, Havertz, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva all came to strengthen the club. But they still need someone to bolster their options between defenders and forwards. Declan Rice seems to be a great choice in this situation. West Ham didn’t want to accept offers for anything less than £80 million, an asking price the Blues weren’t ready to meet at the time. However, Chelsea could succeed in January as the Premier League giants will likely trim down their squad to collect more money. Five players could reportedly leave the team permanently, having struggled to build their reputations as first-team players.
