Carletto offered the Italian Job

According to reports from Italy, Carlo Ancelotti has been offered the vacant managerial role of the Italian national side.

The former Chelsea boss has been out of football since he lost his Job with the German Champions Bayern Munich following a disastrous start to the campaign that culminated in a 3-0 loss to French giants PSG.

Reports from Italy claim the former AC Milan player and Coach held talks with the Italian football Federation officials on Monday night.

The meeting is believed to have lasted for an hour and a half with essential areas such as the members of the backroom staff discussed between the two parties.

The Azzuris are without a permanent head coach since they dismissed Gian Piero Ventura after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini are the other names linked to the Italian Job, but it seems Carletto is their preferred choice. Arsenal fans may be disappointed in the news considering Ancelotti is one of the big name managers linked to the Emirates job after Arsene Wenger accepted to step down at the end of the season.
