The Reds will receive about £105m, which is the third most expensive transfer fee. The deal is only eclipsed by Neymar’ [£200m] and Kylian Mbappe’ [£165.7m] transfers.

Coutinho moved from Inter Milan to Liverpool in January 2013 for only £8.5m. His price increased rapidly with his efficiency and today the player is one of the best in the world. The formal deal should be concluded in Spain within next 24 hours.

The Brazilian was one of the main subjects of summer talks. Liverpool rejected three Barcelona’ bids and finally, the deal is done. Philippe Coutinho has made 20 appearances for the Reds in the season and scored 12 goals. The player couldn’t participate in the next match for Barcelona in Champions League last-16 tie vs Juventus because he already played role in the Liverpool’s qualification.
