Ronald Koeman wishes to see Liverpool footballer Georginio Wijnaldum in Barcelona, reports claim. However, there are no indications that the midfielder will move to the Catalan club as negotiations have yet to begin. Barca started to express their interest in the 29-year-old after significant changes were made in the Spanish side. Having cooperated with Koeman in the Netherlands national team, the Dutchman appeared to be a good option for the LaLiga club. Wijnaldum has started the final year of his deal, and no extension negotiations have taken place at Anfield for a while. Blaugrana are aware of that fact, but they are in no hurry to formalize their plans. While the Reds don’t want to sell anyone at this point, Wijnaldum himself doesn’t declare that he is looking for a transfer. A potential agreement seems to be far from assured, but the uncertainty is making all options available.
