Barcelona’s new schedule calender of season 2014–15 is annoucned now. After having a fluctuated last season, the club is now upgraded with some of new signings. The current vice champions of domestic La Liga have signed a defender also for new season from Valencia. First match of Barcelona is scheduled to be played against Elche on opening match day. Barcelona 2014 New Signings
Barca didn’t took any interest of extending contracts with their former goalkeepers Jose Manuel Pinto and Victor Valdes. They signed Marc Andre ter Stegen, the German goalkeeper & also Claudio Bravo for the new season. The most successful captain of team Carles Puyol announced his retirement on 15th of May 2014. 5 days later, club members signed Luis Enrique as new manager. Enrique has experience of managing Barcelona B team.
The transfer of former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez was one of the most desirable between Spanish club. But in the end, Barca won transfer battle & signed an agreement for a fee of 75 million pounds. Along with Suarez, the club also signed the Croatian player Ivan Rakitic and Jeremy Mathieu.
