Bajaj Allianz Football camp 2013 in Chandigarh & all over India

Bajaj Allianz has started football talent hunt in Chandigarh, India. The initiative, being organized under Bajaj Allianz Junior football Camp, aims to select a total of five teenagers of group age 14 to 16 from 45000 youngsters in 120 cities across India. The selected 5 will attend a football camp in Munich, Germany, in August. On their return, the players will receive training scholarships under the Youth Development Program of Mohun Bagan.

The Selection Procedure of Footballers

To make the selection procedure easier, country has been divided into 4 section zones- East, West, North and South. From 1st 3 zones, one player each will be selected while the East zone will give 2 players. In Chandigarh, the selection process will be conducted in three phases. In the 1st phase, trails will be conducted in over 50 schools across Chandigarh, SAS Nagar & Panchkula.

After screening approximately 2,000 children 2 or 3 players from each school will be selected. These 100 to 150 players will be divided into different teams, which will then play matches among themselves.

Bajaj-Allianz-AJFC

The final will be held on July 14, depending upon the performance of players. Final 2 teams will be selected to participate in the Zonal (North) final. At all levels, football players will be tested for their football skills through matches or football related activities by a jury panel that will be headed by Chandigarh Football Academy chief coach Harjinder Singh.

In the Northern India final, the 2 UT teams will play against 2 teams from Delhi. One player selected as man of the match will represent the North zone & join 4 others from rest of the country to attend the camp in Germany.

Also the winning team between Chandigarh & Delhi stands to win Rs.75000/- on the basis of its performance during the activity. The selected players, besides attending the camp, will get an opportunity the FC Bayern Munich team members and coaches, as well as a chance to attend a match at Allianz Arena.

Last year also, the organizers had conducted a similar camp with Akshay Sharma of Chandigarh making the cut to be among those 5 who went to Munich for the camp. The other 4 players were Sohail Khatri (Mumbai), Jibin Devassy (Kerala), Lalremurata (Aizwal) & Akash Mandal (Kolkata).

    The procedure of selection is through trails in shcools. The interested footballers have to contact with their particular football coach.
