Aubameyang can land Premier League title for Arsenal- Kanu

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be the missing jigsaw in Arsenal’s quest for their first Premier League crown since 2004, according to former striker Nwankwo Kanu

Aubameyang became the club’s record signing back in January this year when he completed the switch from Borussia Dortmund to North London for £56m.

Despite the enormous pressure following the big money move, Auba showed his class to the Arsenal faithful by scoring an impressive ten goals in 13 appearances.

Kanu, who was a member of Arsenal’s “invincibles” in their unbeaten 2003/04 league campaign, is optimistic that Aubameyang will be able to build on his impressive introduction to English football last season and help end Arsenal’s 14-year wait for the Premier League title.

“If he can perform, if it’s a good season for him they have a chance to win the league,” the 42-year-old told Sky Sports.

“Aubameyang’s very, very good. Last season was his first season; now he has adjusted to the Premier League. He’s been playing well with the new coach and his teammates; this season is going to be his season if he works for it.”

Kanu played for Arsenal between 1999 and 2004 and managed to win the Premier League twice with three FA Cup titles in his time in London.
