Hazard has played full ninety minutes of the defeat of Chelsea by Tottenham Hotspur but had been limping towards the end of the game. Sarri eased the fears that Hazard was going to face a long spell out because of being injured. He stated that Hazard hasn’t suffered a serious injury. According to him, he might not be able to play tomorrow but he will recover to play the match of Premier League.

Hazard was being used sparingly this season in Europe but Sarri tried to keep the top scorer all fresh for the Premier League. The manager said that he is worried that the Belgian International is being overworked. He says that he is worried since he suffered a back injury and now an ankle injury which means that he has lost a lot of training. It is quite normal that he is not in the best physical condition. He has a week and a couple of matches to play.

He goes on to say that this week it is better for him to get trained. He might not be able to play ten matches in a month and thus, he needs to rest.

Chelsea is at the top of Group L having 12 points from 4 matches and they need one point from 2 remaining matches in order to secure qualification to knockout stages as the group winners.
