16 year old Indy Boonen have reportedly signed for Man United. According to latest reports, the club have signed him for a three year deal. Indy Boonen was part of the youth set-up at Genk until he was released last summer, reportedly caught United’s attention when he played in a friendly against them in April 2013.
Indy Boonen Signs For Manchester United
The attacking midfielder has been training with Manchester United for the last month and he says he has now put pen to paper on a professional deal after turning 16, turning down reported interest from Man City, Arsenal and Feyenoord among others.
He told to Belgian newspaper HLN “The training sessions are hard, but I don’t feel the tiredness when I realize I have signed for Manchester United.”

The British club swatted away the interest of teams including Manchester City, Arsenal, Feyenoord and Wolfsburg for the left sided attacking midfielder signature, reported by ESPN FC.
Indy Boonen now has the opportunity to work with one of England’s most revered academies, which has produced the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes over the years.
Manchester United have also reportedly been tracking the progress of Boonen’s 13 year old brother Seppe, who is a goalkeeper, although he would not be able to sign for anyone until he turns 16.
