After finishing seventh last season West Ham was defeated in the first game of the campaign by Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side, 1-2. Moreover, West Ham’s summer signing Andre Ayew was carried away injured and he could be sidelined for a couple of months. The only positive news is that Dimitri Payet is ready to start the game.

Meantime, Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth also started their season with a defeat as they were beaten by the strong Manchester United team, 1-3, at Vitality Stadium last Sunday.
