Head coach David Moyes’ team is the only remaining English Premier League side that has not registrated a victory this term. The Black Cats are on a two-match losing skid after getting their second point in the standings with a 1-1 stalemate against West Brom in matchweek 7. The team was beaten by Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United, 0-1, away from home at the London Stadium last Saturday as the Black Cats lost for the seventh time in nine outings. With that loss, Sunderland remained at the rock bottom of the table, three points below fellow bottom three team Swansea City.

Meantime, Head coach Arsene Wenger’s team ended a six-match winning spell after the team was held to a goalless draw by newly-promoted team Middlesbrough at the home ground of Emirates Stadium last Saturday. Boro caught the Gunners with one of their worst performances this term and dominated ball possession throughout the contest. The visitors almost opened the scoring a couple of times as they actually had the “better of the chances” during the first half. Arsenal will be looking to make amends in this game against David Moyes’ Sunderland as they are expected to win by a wide margin.

Sunderland Vs Arsenal : Head-to-Head Stats

The Black Cats have won just one of their last 25 Premier League matches against Gunners, a 1-0 win for Steve Bruce’s side in November 2009 (D9 L15).

Arsenal have conceded just eight times in 15 visits to Sunderland in the Premier League (inc one game at Roker Park). The Gunners have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four at the Stadium of Light.
