Having finished seventh and sixth respectively in the first two seasons of the Indian Super League, Mumbai City FC have made a great start to the 2016 campaign with two tough wins in their first two fixtures. While they did not show too much attacking lair in either of those 1-0 wins – the first one away to local rivals Pune and the other one against in-form NorthEast United. They, however, displayed solid resolve in defense – something that they would need to emphasize even more when 2014 champions Atletico de Kolkata pay a visit on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Atletico de Kolkata haven’t lost a single game so far, having won in front of over 50,000 Kerala supporters in Kochi following a pulsating 2-2 stalemate against reigning champions Chennaiyin in their season operner at home turf. Just like the first two campaigns, ATK have looked fluid going forward, with Borja Fernandez playing in the heart of midfield, Javi Lara and Doutie providing width on the flanks, and forwards Hume and Elder Postiga proving to be a constant threat in front of opponents goal. They have the names, they have the chemistry and they have the history – it now seems a matter of keeping up momentum.
