During Manchester United vs FC Rostov match, Marcos Rojo was caught eating bananas right in the midgame. Probably, he was most talked player of the evening, for despite Man United win the match was really boring from both sides.
Manchester managed to score only one goal than there was no interesting performance at all. Even fans have noticed about that in social. But what really attracted attention it’s 26 y.o. Manchester’s centre back.
At first Jose Mourinho was seen with the peel and soon banana has appeared in Marcos’s hand. Manchester United’s coach said in an interview that the player just had to restore some energy. “I was tired many times and I know that a banana can be a source of fast energy. This situation isn’t funny. My player suffered a fatigue. We should respect physical situation of Marcos.”
The situation a little funny must admit. Still, it’s not over yet. A few hours ago became known that Marcos Rojo forced to undergo a drug test after the banana case. So he didn’t join celebrating victory after the final whistle, but as noticed Andy Mitten, “Luckily bananas are not on a list of banned substances”.
Now Manchester is leading with 2-1 on aggregate and set up a quarter-final match vs Anderlecht next month.
Marcos Rojo has been handed a banana to eat. Phil Jones has seen this and asked the bench if he can have a Curly Wurly and a comic.

Marcos Rojo requesting a banana midway through tonight's game has been the highlight of the match. Superb communication and execution.

Spoke to Rojo after the match. He was last out after a random drug test. Thankfully bananas are not on list of banned substances.
